Mobile and desktop apps

Two separate native apps mean double the cost and double the maintenance — unnecessary for most products. I build apps in React Native + Expo: one codebase, two systems, fast updates without waiting on a store review.

Definition

React Native with Expo lets you build an app for iOS and Android from a single codebase — genuinely cutting cost and time by roughly half compared with two separate native apps, at a quality users can't tell apart in typical use.

01 / Who it's for

Who this service actually pays off for

  • startups with a product that has to be in the user's pocket, not in a browser tab
  • service businesses wanting to give customers bookings, passes or job statuses in an app
  • teams needing a desktop tool integrated with their web system

02 / Scope

What you get

  1. 01a product workshop: the scope of version 1 and the list of things that deliberately wait
  2. 02UX/UI design in line with iOS and Android conventions
  3. 03the app: React Native + Expo, backend on Firebase or your own API
  4. 04push, login, in-app payments, offline mode — as the product needs
  5. 05publishing to the App Store and Google Play, including store assets
  6. 06OTA updates: fixes reach users without going through review

03 / When it applies

When it makes sense — and when it doesn't

A mobile app makes sense when the user comes back regularly (bookings, workouts, jobs) or needs phone features: push, camera, offline. If a responsive site is enough, you'll hear that from me at the diagnosis, before you spend an app-sized budget.

04 / FAQ

Frequently asked questions about this service

iOS and Android — are those two separate projects?expand_more
No. React Native + Expo is a single codebase that runs on both systems. Separate native apps only make sense for very specific requirements (e.g. advanced 3D graphics).
How much does a mobile app cost?expand_more
An MVP with login, basic screens and a backend is usually PLN 6,000–12,000 net. The exact cost depends on the number of features in version 1 — which is why the first stage is a workshop, not coding.
