What does a website cost in 2026? Real ranges, not “it depends”
The most common question in consultations. I answer with numbers — and explain what really drives the final price and where “cheap” ends up costing more.
In short
A business website in Poland in 2026 costs roughly PLN 999–6,000 net: a simple one-pager PLN 999–3,000, a larger site with SEO-focused content PLN 3,000–6,000, an online store from about PLN 2,500 (WooCommerce) or from about PLN 8,000 (Next.js + Stripe), and a custom web app from about PLN 4,000. The price is driven mainly by the number of subpages, the scope of content, integrations, and who writes the copy.
“It depends” is true but useless. Here are the concrete ranges I give in consultations, plus a list of the things that genuinely push the price up. All amounts are net and approximate — the final quote comes after a free diagnosis, but this piece will help you get a sense of the budget.
Price ranges in 2026
A starting point for the most common project types. These are market ranges for solid work — not the cheapest templates, and not corporate agency rates.
| Project type | Net price | Timeline |
|---|---|---|
| Simple business site (one-pager) | PLN 999–3,000 | 2–4 weeks |
| Larger site with SEO-focused content | PLN 3,000–6,000 | 3–6 weeks |
| WooCommerce store | from PLN 2,500 | 3–6 weeks |
| Next.js + Stripe store | from ~PLN 8,000 | 6–10 weeks |
| Custom web app / dashboard (MVP) | from ~PLN 4,000 | from 6 weeks |
What actually drives the price up
A website price isn’t one number — it’s the sum of decisions. These four factors account for most of the gap between “PLN 999” and “PLN 6,000”:
- 01The number of subpages and unique templates — a homepage plus five service subpages is far more design work than a single one-pager.
- 02Who writes the copy. If you provide the text, it’s cheaper; if I write it for SEO and your industry, that’s a separate line item in the quote.
- 03Integrations: online booking, payments, CRM, newsletter, maps, external systems — each adds work and testing.
- 04Custom design vs. a polished template. A bespoke layout costs more, but it doesn’t look like the competitor around the corner.
Rule
You pay for an agreed scope, not for surprises. A good quote is itemized — you see what you’re paying for, and you can cut something to fit your budget.
Why a PLN 500 website usually costs more
The cheapest offers cut corners on the things you don’t see at handover but that decide whether the site earns: search-friendly structure, speed, structured data, and copy that actually says something. You’ll find out a few months in — the site exists, but the phone doesn’t ring, and the fixes cost as much as doing it right the first time.
I go into what cheap sites actually skimp on, and how to make up for it, in a separate piece on technical SEO. For now, one thought is enough: the purchase price isn’t the same as the cost of ownership.
How to start estimating on your own
- Write down what the site should achieve (calls, bookings, sales) — not how many subpages it should have.
- Decide who will edit the content after launch — that determines the technology choice.
- Collect examples of sites you like, and name exactly what you like about them.
- Book a free diagnosis — you’ll get ranges tailored to your case, not to a table.
